My Top 5 Sweets from Trader Joe's
Grocery shopping at Trader Joe’s has been part of my life since childhood. I love how affordable yet high-quality their products are, and their TJ-brand items sometimes taste better than anything I find at other grocery stores.
My loyalty to Trader Joe’s runs deep, especially when it comes to their sweets. I have a serious sweet tooth and TJ’s always comes through for my cravings.
From baked goods to frozen treats to pancake and waffle mixes to chocolate bars, they have something for every craving I get. There’s so many sweets to choose from, but these are the top 5 that I keep coming back to.
5) Sea Salt Chocolate Chunk Cookies
Trader Joe’s Sea Salt Chocolate Chunk Cookies are easily one of the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever had. Maybe it’s the mix of savory sea salt with the sweet chocolate, or the soft, chewy texture. It tastes like a gourmet baked treat and has everything I want in a good chocolate chip cookie.
4) Sublime Ice Cream Sandwiches
Trader Joe’s Sublime Ice Cream Sandwiches really are sublime thanks to their perfect ratio of cookie, ice cream, and chocolate chips. Even though the ice cream is rolled in chocolate chips, the chips are not too sweet. And I love the light crunch of the chips against the soft, creamy center.
I used to love Nestlé’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwich, but they were huge with a hard cookie and way more ice cream than I wanted. These, on the other hand, are the ideal size to satisfy a craving without overdoing it.
3) Ube Mochi Pancake & Waffle Mix
Trader Joe’s Ube Mochi Pancake & Waffle Mix is everything I expected because I love mochi and ube, so this was an obvious win.
The sweet ube flavor paired with the slightly chewy mochi texture makes for a unique breakfast experience. It’s definitely sweeter than the other treats on this list, especially for a breakfast item, but it’s still delicious!
2) Mango Cream Bars
Trader Joe’s Mango Cream Bars are an addictive frozen treat I’d happily eat during any season, not just summer. I love mango, so this was an easy favorite.
The refreshing mango sorbet on the outside paired with the soft vanilla cream inside feels like two treats in one. I also appreciate that the sorbet doesn’t melt too quickly or get overly sticky, while the cream stays soft and never icy.
1) Oat Chocolate Bars with Crispy Rice & Cocoa Nibs
Trader Joe’s Oat Chocolate Bars with Crispy Rice & Cocoa Nibs are my favorite chocolate bars for their cute packaging, on-the-go size, texture, and taste. The coral-colored wrappers make each bar feel like an adorable, small, and satisfying treat. I love that they are easy to open and enjoy with no fuss or mess.
The crispy rice adds a nice crunch and the chocolate is balanced, not too sweet or bitter. It’s a great mix of taste and texture in a chocolate bar, which is saying a lot since I’m picky about candy, but this one definitely hits!
